about-me.jpg

I’m Laura, a Coptic tasoni (priest’s wife) and mom. I blog here on CopticDadandMom.com to help my readers (and me) navigate this fallen world we live in, trust God more and love and serve our neighbors.

I started to blog in 2009 as a new wife and mother just as a way to figure out what I believed about myself and my new roles. Then, in 2011, a phone call in the dead of night changed the course of my life as my husband was called–literally–to the priesthood. (You can read about it in Becoming Tasoni - 15 Essays on Life as a Priest’s Wife)

These days, I write blog posts about growing in faith, about caring for each other, and about the tough task of juggling multiple cultures outside Egypt.

Count me as the slightly sarcastic sister you never had (literally–tasoni in Coptic means my sister). I’ll add you to my list of siblings and fret over you as a good Martha would. I pray for you all and hope you remember me in your prayers.

❤ Laura
